Meeting during the week in small groups to study the bible, pray and discuss faith together has always been a part of our Christian life at St. Mary’s.
Currently we have two regular groups:
Tea and Chat
Tea and Chat takes place in the afternoon on the second and fourth Tuesdays in the month, 2.15-4.00pm.
This is a light touch faith gathering with discussion, preceded by tea and the all important cake! A variety of Bible and faith issues are discussed, in a friendly, informal atmosphere. Hosted by Rosemary Shepherd.
Thursday Bible Study
This takes place on the second and fourth Thursday evenings, 7.30-9pm. Various books of the Bible and biblical themes are discussed. And again homemade cake is usually available! Hosted by Alison and Bernard Hunt.
During Lent and Advent the groups meet more frequently and there is often an online study group, and other groups within the Area who study the same material and theme.
All groups are open to all and if you would like to host a group talk to Revd Jules Walker or our Reader, Lucy Toyn.
For more information please contact the Parish Office or speak to someone after a service.
