Our Faith

We believe in God the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named.

We believe in God the Son, who lives in our hearts through faith, and fills us with his love.

We believe in God the Holy Spirit, who strengthens us with power from on high.

We believe in one God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

We believe God created the world, - including the science of it, and is continuing to create, and we are amazed at the beauty and the diversity around us.

Sadly, humankind often misuses its freedom and is greedy, selfish and destructive. God offered Jesus his own Son to the world to demonstrate love, and Jesus experienced all that we go through but without sinning and then he suffered a horrible death on the cross.

God raised Jesus from death and through His new life we have access to God and can call him Father, we have the closeness of Jesus as a friend and we can choose to have the power of the Holy Spirit living in us.

Some of us find it easier to worship God in the familiar and traditional structured forms of service, others find the modern music and variety more inspiring. Whatever our preference, services will sometimes be comforting sometimes be challenging, but rarely be perfect!  They teach us to listen to God through the Bible, to pray and to be in communion with God.

Jesus said “I am the way the truth and the life”.

As the Body of Christ, we can grow as individuals in our faith, we are united in the family of the church and we can contribute positively and be a blessing to the world around us.

Finally we will join with all God’s people in heaven to share in God’s eternal praise.
