Frontline Discipleship

15 Feb 2018 • General news

Many churches have already used the LICC (London Institute for Contemporary Christianity) courses ‘Life on the Frontline’ and ‘Fruitfulness on the Frontline’ as well as hearing talks by LICC Director Neil Hudson. Building on these, over the last two years Lichfield Diocese has worked with LICC to look at how we can embed the principles of frontline discipleship in the local church rather than just ‘doing a course’.

If you lead a small group, or part of a service, lead the intercessions or work with small children, then there’s a session for you which will be led by Rev George Fisher and/or a member of the diocesan team! Here’s advance notice of the proposed dates;

1.Wed 11th April. Intentional Relationships (for those who lead small groups or mentor people).

2.Sat 26th May (10-12.15) Leading worship for the Frontline (for those who lead worship regularly).

3.Wed 18th July. From Pastoral Care to Pastoral Equipping (for those involved in pastoral care).

4.Sat 15th Sept - Preaching for the Frontline (for those who preach regularly).

5.Wed 17th Oct. Children and young people (for those ministering to our children and young people)

6.Sat 17th Nov (10.30-12.15) Calling All Christians (for everyone, whether their frontline is work, home, or community).

All the sessions will be held in the Elkes Room at St Mary’s Church, Uttoxeter. Wednesday sessions are all 7.30pm to 9.15pm with a drink from 7.15 for a prompt 7.30 start.
