The Bible Book Club, had its first Zoom outing back in January last year and has been enjoyed by many. It is a programme designed by the Bible Society which meets once a month to look at a different book of the Bible. The Society has put together a crib sheet for each book that helps to structure the session, which lasts an hour, from 7.30-8.30pm. It is led by Lesley White, who is a member of the Area Worship Team and Area Co-ordinator amongst other things. The sessions are relaxed and you'll get more out of it if you try and read the suggested parts of that month's book before the evening.

After all the indulgence and joyous nonsense of the last couple of weeks, a hefty dose of reality for our January book.  Judges has an unknown author, so many tricky bits that the Bible Society notes duck past that section, and no notable quotes!  But it’s the story that links one period of exile with the next one, so is important. And it has messages for us about the highs and lows of life as God’s people – which seems pretty “on topic”!
